ADVANCING WOMEN LEADERS

Mentoring Programme for Women Leaders

The mentorship program empower women through mentorship to achieve leadership development and career growth.

This 6-month Rise mentorship program pairs junior or mid-career women (mentees) with experienced women leaders (mentors) who volunteer from senior positions.

The mentorship program is deliberately aligned with Rise – London Tech Ladies’s diversity and inclusion goals, with a focus on leadership development and career advancement for women. Key objectives include:

Develop Leadership Skills

Mentors will help mentees cultivate leadership competencies (strategic thinking, decision-making, people skills) through advice and role modeling during their one-on-one sessions.

Expand Professional Networks

Through the mentor’s introductions and the program’s group events, mentees will broaden their network and visibility within the organization, while mentors strengthen their coaching and leadership skills.

Retention and Confidence

By providing this support structure, we aim to improve retention of talented women and enhance their confidence in pursuing higher roles.

Programme Highlights

This year, we look for 10 high-potential aspiring female leaders (mentees) and 10 senior executive women (mentors) to join this inclusively led 6 months -long programme.

The Mentoring Programme consists of two different components which all work together to provide holistic growth and development: One-to-One Mentoring, supplemented by The Inclusive Leadership curriculum, Group Networking events, all aiming towards holistic growth and development.

between each mentor and mentee duo, for approximately 1 hour each session. In total, at least 6 private mentoring sessions either in person or virtually are expected

(some pairs may choose to meet more frequently or for longer if schedules permit). These meetings are the core of the program, where personalized guidance and discussion take place.

Rise provides participants with the opportunity to participate in tailored workshops held bi-monthly within 6 months. Participants will be better equipped to contribute to a more inclusive workplace in their organisations and become gender advocates in the broader community.

Two all-participant group events
(approximately quarterly) will be held during the program – one at the program start and one around the mid-point. These events bring together all mentors and mentees for shared learning and community building.
